Here you go, James. While Seth is an expert, the style is called Omering, after Omer Stringer, a wilderness canoe guide in the Algonquin Park region of Ontario (and elsewhere) during the 1930's.

Thanks for introducing yourself and any solution to that strange IE error would be greatly appreciated. John mentioned he would love to help but he's pretty slammed right now.
